Quelle 04:40
Evoke the forms that call your name Draw the breath that fans the flame Lose your life to truly gain Shout it at the mountain tops Until my face is black and blue Lead me to the secret place Spur me on to seek the truth I’d give it all at the altar Just to find my joy in you Choose the weak to shame the strong Use the fool to right the wrong Give a voice to the unsung song Shout it at the mountain tops Until my face is black and blue Lead me to the secret place Spur me on to seek the truth I’d give it all at the altar Just to find my joy in you Take me out of myself Save me from this hour Keep me at the source Reach my very heart Show me who you are ‘Cause it’s for this hour That you have come Shout it at the mountain tops Until my face is black and blue Lead me to the secret place Spur me on to seek the truth I’d give it all at the altar I’d leave it all not to falter Just to find my joy in you

Chains 04:03
Give me more than a moment I want something real Keep me where I can hold it Give me something I can feel Can you hear me? Does my voice sound distant or strange? Tell me clearly How much can one man sustain? ‘Cause my heart’s tied up in chains Like the clay to a potter Profit better than gold The deer panting for water Knows it’s life for the soul When I walk, will you keep me in step? If I run will you keep me from stumbling? [ Wisdom, where are you? ] When I walk will you keep me in step? [ Wisdom, where are you? ] If I run, will you keep me from stumbling?

The wealthy man with the richest prize Will never quite be satisfied If riches are all he has in the end It’s all a striving after wind Where you gonna lay your treasure; where? The foolish man folds his hands He’s the first to speak and the last to stand Empty words are quicker than the sand It’s all a striving after wind Where you gonna lay your treasure; where? When crisis comes your way And there’s nothing left to say Where you gonna lay your treasure; where? Where you gonna lay your treasure: where? Will you cast away your stones To see Jesus on his throne Where you gonna lay your treasure; where?

Enemy 03:27
Who do you think you are? Going ‘round and breaking hearts Stealing joy and causing pain Reaching all the darkest parts of me You’re a thief, author of lies Enemy; prey on the wise With a lust for life Clothe your wolves, and kill the sheep Right through you my eyes can see The weeds grow up beside the grain Choking out the harvest for the seed Darkness has no power here No more shame, or guilt, or tears Perfect love that casts out fear Darkness has no power here

Eulogy 04:30
Absence makes the heart grow fearful When you’re all alone Ask for wisdom when the mind grows feeble Hold your head up high when you approach the throne Dying feels like death When pride lets out its final breath And all you have to do Is grieve the loss of who you used Shed the former self Nostalgic notions on the shelf No lover’s gonna free from this hell Of losing who you used to be Absence makes the heart grow fearful When you’re all alone Ask for wisdom when the mind grows feeble Hold your head up high When you approach the throne Don’t want fear to be out Only love to be in Free me from my doubt Hold me in your arms Where I should’ve been Absence makes the heart grow fearful When you’re all alone Ask for wisdom when the mind grows feeble Hold your head up high When you approach the throne Dying feels like death When pride lets out its final breath And all that’s left to do Is trade the lost for who you’re meant to be

Like A Fool 03:12
Drove by your house at midnight As soon as I rolled in Guided by the moonlight To where it all began A young boy who met his father After eight eager years Oh how his mind would wander All his hopes and dreams and fears A man who wants to know you And the son I want to be Haunting every part of me Like a fool I still love you And it pains me to say Don’t know what I would do If I saw you face to face Would I finally forgive you When mercy calls my name A man who wants to know you And the son I want to be Haunting every part of me Like a fool I still love you And it pains me to say Won’t let this love be lost one you Not on my wedding day The youthful eyes of truth Gonna make me proud to say That I’m a man who wants to know you And a father to be I know it’s hard to believe Like a fool I still love you And like a fool I’m gonna love them too

Your heart was a highway With kindness for miles The truth in your eyes The warmth of your smile Hardly knew the hour When God would call your name In life we loved you dearly And in death we’ll do the same Wake me from this dream Where I can’t hold you anymore Hear the angels sing The sweetest lullaby Makes me laugh until I cry I wonder what you’ll say When you see the pearly gates Ask Him everything you’ve pondered When you meet Him face to face Wake me from this dream Where I can’t hold you anymore Hear the angels sing The sweetest lullaby Makes me laugh until cry Hard pill to swallow Heavy hearts gone hollow Didn’t want you go Please say it ain’t so Wake me from this dream Where I can’t hold you anymore Hear the angels sing The sweetest lullaby Makes me laugh until I cry

Canary 03:45
The canary who can’t sing mumbles through a melody Softly indistinct like a child learning to speak The balloon with no string, no hand to hold or carry me Floating out of reach far beyond the eye can see Say I love you to the rearview Wanting more, but I’m not making any room Pray with faith to make the mountains move I love you more now than I ever knew Church bells are ringing and babies are born Everywhere I turn Should make me laugh and fill me with warmth Instead it makes me burn A time to weep and a time for mourning Season to die and lives to be forming Dress the wounds and stay for the healing Magnify that voice that I’m hearing Old made new Trust in you Say I love you to the rearview Wanting more, but I’m not making any room Pray with faith to make the mountains move I don’t know how But I love you more now than I ever knew

Wear me down from side to side When I can’t see beyond my pride Knock me off my horse too high Let the scales fall from my eyes Bury the beak when I start to crow Steady the hand that bends the bow Pull me out from underneath the wreckage Of my fickle heart apart from you Just like the pain of the ache knows the tooth Just like the sayer who knows how to soothe Is the voice convincing you Fear tells the truth I know love comes with wounds And faith follows failure But I know the story doesn’t end there God, I hope the story doesn’t end there Just like the pain of the ache knows the tooth Just like the sayer who knows how to soothe Is the voice convincing you Fear tells the truth

Sweet Louise 04:10
We first held hands in 1962 Just one glance and we already knew As sure as the color of the sky was blue Found my forever when I laid my eyes on you You were eighteen, and I was barely a man I gave you a ring; you said, “Honey, I think that’s grand!” As sure as all the yellow roses bloom Found my forever when I laid my eyes on you Sweet Louise, would you look at me now You moved on, and I don’t know how Dry as the ground that drinks all the rain What I wouldn’t give to hear you call my name Call my name Through heaven and hell In sickness and health You stayed the same For rich or for poor You kept me warm To your final days You stayed the same Sweet Louise, if I could look at you now I know you moved on, and I still don’t know how I’m as dry as the ground that drinks all the rain What I wouldn’t give to hear you call my name Call my name
11.
I’ll write you a letter every day Chasing the memories on a page Those old habits that I need to break Lord knows, I need to change my ways Hold me close, but hold me loosely Pillar to post, but it’s you I’m choosing What we have will not be shaken Hope cannot be tamed or taken Here’s the promise that I’ll be makin’ To keep my eyes on you Gonna fill up the gas in the tank Then I’ll buy you the prettiest bouquet Sweetness so simple and so plain When I hear you voice calling my name I’ll be willing if you’re not ready Be your rock when you’re unsteady

Peace and joy singing down the hall There’s a miracle livin’ in these walls Break the silence settled down Like dust on the frames of an empty house Oh, what a beautiful mystery This love we’re livin’ in so free I prayed to God this day would come Where I’d call you father and you call me son The open palm that received the dove Knew every good gift comes from above Oh, what a beautiful mystery This love we’re living in so free When I hear you say you love me Still searching for all the clues Learning to let go and lean in To find that it’s always been true Oh, what a beautiful mystery This love we’re livin’ in so free This hope, it lights up every room Now my heart sings a different tune
